The addition of a Student Center on the UArts’ campus provided an exciting opportunity for design and illustration majors. The selection of walls/spaces were divided amongst the cohort to create artwork for vinyl installation. We then presented our designs to the deans, as well as the president, for them to vote on the works that would be coming to life.

I was assigned to the largest wall available in the meeting room area of the center. I was inspired by my time interning with The Philadelphia Union. There were always meetings going on behind this soundproof glass, I could just imagine the ideas being shared. My piece intends to encourage conversation and collaboration. The various colors and typefaces used for the quotes represent not only the diverse student body, but their diverse backgrounds, interests, and endeavors.
